On Friday, Meta announced their new language model called LLaMA. But. You won’t be able to use it for a while. They’re giving access to researchers only.
Interesting: Contrary to OpenAI, Facebook’s LLaMA is actually open. OpenAI has faced criticism for not being truly "open" to the public, but Meta has vowed to release their model and share the code for LLaMA with other researchers.
Joseph Cox, a writer for Vice, used an AI-generated voice to break into the bank's security system
The writer was able to create a synthetic voice that just sounded like him, which helps him break into his bank account by tricking the bank's security system into thinking that it's his voice
